Peter Foley has been presenting talks to a wide range of groups and societies since 1973 and is well known as a speaker on plants both locally and nationwide.
For many years he has given lectures to:

  The Alpine Garden Society (AGS), 
  The Scottish Rock Garden Club (SRGC), 
  The Hardy Plant Society (HPS
  The National Council for the Conservation of Plants & Gardens (NCCPG

In addition he has presented talks at events jointly organised by The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) at Holden Clough Nursery and is in their Speakers Handbook.
In addition he has spoken to many Women's Institutes and other ladies groups, Lions, Rotary and NAFAS Groups plus countless Horticultural Societies and Garden Clubs.

He has a wide knowledge of all the hardy garden plants, alpines, shrubs and trees and regularly broadcasts on BBC Radio Lancashire's 'Gardening Phone-in' programme.
